ABOUT TERMINATOR:
Terminator Salvation is a third-person shooter for mobile, that follows the movie's storyline. The game brought console-style graphics, cover-based action and mission-driven set-pieces to early smartphones, placing players in a post-apocalyptic war between the Resistance and Skynet machines.
As a Game Designer, my role was to design three campaign missions and encounter spaces, integrating cover-based combat, scripted cinematic moments, and explosive situations tailored for mobile third-person action.
FEATURES:
The first mission of the game, including also the tutorial for moving, camera, shooting, cover system and a minigame.
The mission is set at the destroyed rebel base in the desert
Two enemies are introduced – T600, seeker terminator
The mission features various combat situations, avoiding traps (laser beams, sentry machine-gun), both outdoors and indoors
Samples:
Placed in the destroyed city of Los Angeles.
Two other new enemies are introduced to the player: the hunter-killer tank and T620. If hunter killer is an armored vehicle terminator, T620 is a variation of the basic T600 but slower, deals more damage and with less vulnerabilities
The level features many cover-based combat situations outdoors and indoors alternating open spaced arenas with corridor shooting, rail shooting, avoiding mines.
Samples:
The sequel of the Rebirth level, placed in the proximity of the Griffith Observatory in the ravaged Los Angeles.
Introducing another new enemy (drone terminator) and a boss fight (hunter-killer)
The level features cover-based combat in corridor fighting, traps avoidance, path choosing, rail shooting arena, puzzle solving and a boss fight
The hunter-killer fight mechanics consist of the aircraft releasing three seekers from time to time. The main targets for the player are the aircraft engines that should be shot at after eliminating each wave of seekers

The project development started in 2008 and it was released on iOS in May 2009 as a premium title. The game featured an eight-level single-player campaign that allowed players to control both John Connor and Marcus Wright, the movie's protagonists.
Unfortunately, the game is no longer supported on modern devices because it was not updated for 64-bit operating systems, which caused it to become incompatible with newer devices. However fan ports and third-party APKs can still be found on specific sites on the internet.
